Advocacy

UK100 works with its members on issues including warm homes, local energy, and local climate engagement.

We build cross-party political consensus and commitment to action, by advocating for the changes we need to make to meet Net Zero and boost local and regional growth, too.

We work closely with elected representatives, local authority officers, national government officials, policy experts, local businesses, and grassroots campaigners to help unlock the potential of local leaders.

Warm homes

Britain's draughty homes account for almost a fifth of the country's greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, the gas price crisis is driving up heating costs, trapping over three million poorly insulated households in fuel poverty.

Local energy

The energy system in Britain is almost a century old. It is in desperate need of reform. Local leaders should be at the forefront of building a new future-proof system that is affordable and resilient.

Engaging communities

The established consensus on climate action is being stress-tested. But local-led transparent and inclusive engagement with communities can rebuild it.
