Join our webinar on how local government can make the most of the Warm Homes Plan.
On 22nd January, the government launched the long-awaited Warm Homes Plan, pledging £15bn of public investment to upgrade Britain’s housing stock. The government’s ambition to upgrade 5 million homes, through the roll-out of solar panels, batteries, and heat pumps, has the potential to lift a million families out of fuel poverty, all whilst scaling up access to clean power and improving energy efficiency.
UK100 celebrated the plan’s delivery of local leaders’ key asks, including multi-year funding, and a recognition of the importance of place-based leadership. Tools such as local area energy plans will play a key role in aligning home upgrade schemes with the capacity of the energy network, whilst mayors are put in the driving seat of the plan’s delivery. With local authorities holding the relationships, knowledge, and experience to deliver warm homes at pace and scale, we want to bring together local leaders to explore how they can make the most of the Warm Homes Plan to deliver for their communities
Join UK100 for this Lunchtime Learning where we’ll be doing just that. Joined by expert speakers we’ll discusse what the Warm Homes Plan means for you, and understand how local authorities at every level can make the most of this opportunity.
By joining this webinar, you will learn:
- Local and strategic authorities’ role in delivering the Warm Homes Plan by 2030, including how they can shape how £15bn of investment flows to communities
- How local government is already delivering warmer, more efficient homes for their residents, and how this track record can strengthen delivery of the Warm Homes Plan
- How local government can leverage existing partnerships to maximise the impact of the Warm Homes Plan
